The results say it all.

In the first Junior Semi Final the Lake Maquarie Wizards put on a display of sheer power to put down the Tuggerah Lakes Tribe Juniors 47 – 23. In the second Junior Semi Final the Newcastle Royalty put on an impressive display of team work and amazing speed defeating the Heat 45 – 27. The Royalty setting up a grand final date against their local rivals the Lake Macquarie Wizards Juniors.

Onto the first Senior Semi Final and the Lake Macquarie Wizards have followed their junior team by qualifying for their second straight Grand Final appearance against a highly spirited and hard fighting Hunter Valley Vipers the Wizards taking it 55 to the Vipers 24. Where in the second Senior Semi Final the Tuggerah Lakes Tribe have made it 3 from 3 against their local rivals the Central Coast Heat to qualify for their first ever Grand final in their debut season. But it didn’t all go to plan from the first event when the Heat got of to a flying start by winning the 8 x 50 Fs Relay in what was the best relay race of the season. But to the Tribe’s credit, they put their heads down and worked hard to over come the confident Heat team. Tribe 47 – Heat 30. Next week’s Grand Final will see the Lake Macquarie Wizards defend their championship title against the Tuggerah Lakes Tribe at Maitland Aquatic centre.
